ClarkeModet appoints Dina Chaves as Director of International Business and Luisa Castro as Director of Operations

The leading group in intangible and digital asset management is relying on its internal talent to strengthen two of its key global areas

ClarkeModet announced two strategic appointments that reinforce its commitment to developing internal talent: Dina Chaves, formerly Corporate Director of Consulting, assumes the global leadership of International Business. Meanwhile, Luisa Castro, who previously headed the Patents and Translations area, takes on the role of Director of Operations and Quality for the group.

More about Dina Chaves and Luisa Castro

Dina Chaves will lead ClarkeModet’s international growth strategy, with a particular focus on the Asian and North American markets. She has over 20 years of international experience in intellectual property consulting, technology transfer, and intangible asset valuation.

In addition to her 10 years with ClarkeModet, she has held senior positions in the innovation sector, including head of the Cabinet for Science, Technology, and Higher Education in Portugal. Dina Chaves holds a degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in Globalization and Intellectual Property from the University of Coimbra. She has also participated in the Women on Boards (W50) Corporate Governance program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management (USA).

Luisa Castro will lead the corporate Operations division, driving transformation and service quality projects across the Group’s companies in 13 countries. Castro has been with ClarkeModet for over 15 years, holding various commercial and technical roles in Europe and Latin America.

The executive also has prior experience with other international intellectual property service platforms. Luisa Castro holds a degree in Industrial Pharmacy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, as well as a master’s degree and a doctorate in Intellectual Property and Innovation from the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). She is an Official Industrial Property Agent (AOPI) in Portugal.

These appointments reflect ClarkeModet’s commitment to developing internal talent and consolidating an international management team with extensive experience and deep business knowledge, key to driving the growth and transformation objectives of the group led by María Garaña.
