Approaching its 35th anniversary, one of the most established law firms in the Chilean market is updating its name. Morales & Besa is now called SCLB Abogados.
The firm, founded in 1992 as Bórquez, Morales & Valdivieso, has gone by several different names throughout its history. SCLB Abogados will be the firm’s fifth brand since its founding.
“Each of those changes accompanied a different stage of the Studio. Today, on the verge of celebrating 35 years, we decided to take an additional step, adopting a brand that does not represent specific people, thus projecting the coming decades through an identity that transcends any generation of partners,” commented the Chairman of the Executive Committee, Carlos Silva.
SCLB Abogados maintains its team of professionals, its practice areas and its client portfolio in Chile and abroad.
In April of this year, partners Guillermo Morales and Eugenio Besa left the firm to embark on a new professional chapter. “We acknowledge their contributions over these years and wish them the very best of luck,” added managing partner Macarena Laso.
During a transition period, the firm will use the reference “formerly Morales & Besa” alongside its new identity.
