ICC Abogados announced the creation of its new area of Indigenous Law, Community Relations and Environmental Assessment of the Human Environment, which will be led by Iván Cheuquelaf Rodríguez, who joins as a partner of the firm.
The arrival of Cheuquelaf adds to the work carried out by founding partners Carlos Ciappa Petrescu, Ricardo Irarrázabal Sánchez, Sebastián Campos Aguirre and Ruggero Cozzi Elzo, consolidating a specialized advisory proposal for investment projects that face growing regulatory, environmental and social challenges.
“Iván brings technical and strategic expertise that naturally complements our practice areas. His addition strengthens the firm’s ability to support complex projects, especially in the areas of community relations and permitting stability,” said Ricardo Irarrázabal, founding partner of ICC Abogados.
“I join with the challenge of contributing to practical and sustainable solutions for projects that require dialogue, anticipation, and regulatory compliance. The integration of legal counsel and community relations management is now a key factor for the viability of investments in Chile,” Cheuquelaf stated.
