Ceca Magán Abogados has appointed Laura Cadenas as a new partner in the Banking and Finance department at its Madrid office, a strategic move that strengthens one of the firm’s key practices and consolidates its position in complex, high value-added financing transactions. The new partner joins from Watson Farley & Williams, where she was a partner in the Asset Finance department in Madrid since 2023.
Esteban Ceca, managing partner of Ceca Magán Abogados, commented that “the addition of Laura Cadenas decisively strengthens a practice that is key to the present and future of the firm. Her in-depth knowledge of structured finance and highly specialized sectors fits perfectly with our firm’s model and our commitment to offering cross-cutting, high-impact advice to our clients.”
Laura Cadenas, for her part, said that she is joining “Ceca Magán with great enthusiasm. It is a firm with a clear ambition for growth, a very solid culture, and a client approach based on technical excellence and teamwork. My goal is to contribute to the development of the Banking and Finance area and to accompany clients in increasingly complex and strategic transactions.”
Meanwhile, Amado Giménez, partner in the Banking and Finance practice, commented that “we are seeing a significant increase in the complexity of financing transactions, especially in capital-intensive sectors with a strong international component. The addition of Laura Cadenas allows us to respond to this demand with a very high level of specialization, strengthening our ability to structure sophisticated financial solutions and accompany our clients in operations that are critical to their growth.”
With this move, the firm strengthens its ability to advise on structured finance, asset finance, and transactions linked to strategic sectors such as defense, in a context of increasing sophistication in the financial market and demand for highly specialized advice.
