The XI Foro Gerencias Legales Mexico City 2026, to be held on 3 September at the Santa Fe Campus of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, will bring together legal leaders, general counsel and compliance and arbitration experts from Mexico and Latin America to discuss the main challenges facing the regional legal environment, including constitutional reforms, ESG, fintech and international arbitration.

Panel 1, Constitutional reforms and the new business landscape, will focus on the key regulatory changes and their impact on legal certainty for investment in Mexico. Participants will examine how recent reforms affect corporate planning and operations, and how legal management teams need to adapt to anticipate risk and ensure compliance.

Panel 2, ESG in the courts: from theory to litigation, will look at climate and social litigation cases with regional repercussions. Panellists will discuss how companies can proactively manage ESG risks, balancing corporate responsibility with the protection of reputation and the company’s strategic interests.

Panel 3, Fintech and the future of financial services in Latin America, will explore Mexican regulation and its influence on the digital transformation of the financial sector across Latin America. It will examine the legal challenges of technological innovation, the digitalisation of services, and how legal management teams support the sector’s modernisation processes.

Panel 4, Commercial and international investment arbitration, will highlight Mexico’s role as an emerging forum for resolving complex disputes. Experts will discuss the advantages of choosing Mexico as an arbitration seat, efficiency in dispute resolution, and the integration of new legal and technological tools into proceedings.

Panel 5, Global governance from Mexico, will examine the new standards of transparency, taxation and corporate responsibility affecting Latin American companies. Particular emphasis will be placed on how legal management teams align internal governance with regulatory requirements and international best practice.

Finally, the closing panel, Operating in high-risk environments: compliance and corporate resilience strategies, will address how legal departments manage operations in complex, high-risk contexts. Panellists will share strategies for strengthening corporate resilience, ensuring regulatory compliance and anticipating potential contingencies in volatile environments.

The Mexico City Foro Gerencias Legales 2026 reaffirms its role as a meeting point for legal leaders in the corporate sector, combining analysis of regulation, compliance, ESG, fintech and international arbitration with insights from general counsel and partners at international firms.
