The Burnside Partnership, a leading boutique private and tax law firm in the UK, announced the opening of its Spanish desk following the addition of Yolanda Pérez Berges, a bilingual Spanish lawyer with extensive experience, registered in the UK with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority and the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM).
The addition of Yolanda Pérez Berges responds to the growing demand for personalized advice from clients with personal, business or property ties to Spain.
Regarding the opening of the firm’s Spanish desk, Managing Partner Della Burnside, who has over 30 years of experience as a solicitor and has served as General Counsel and Secretary to McDonald’s Restaurants LTD and as a Non-Executive Director of NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), stated, “Spain has become a key destination for our clients, and the opening of our Spanish desk is a logical next step. With the addition of Yolanda, we can offer a comprehensive service to those requiring Anglo-Spanish cross-border advice. We are delighted to welcome her and further strengthen our international expertise.”
Yolanda, director of the Spanish desk, added, “I am delighted to join The Burnside Partnership at this time of expansion for its international business, particularly in Europe. As a bilingual lawyer admitted to both the UK and Spain, I can facilitate communication between the two jurisdictions and provide comprehensive, practical support to clients with cross-border interests. Anglo-Spanish legal advice is crucial for expatriates, Spanish companies based in the UK, and individuals with assets in both countries where the Spanish civil law system and British common law converge.”
