Ecija consolidates its position as the fifth largest Spanish firm by global revenue and climbs to fourth place among national firms with the highest volume of international business, according to the annual ranking of law firms published today by Expansión Jurídico.
The firm closed fiscal year 2025 with a global revenue of €122.2 million, representing a 19.5% increase over the previous year and significantly exceeding the average for the Spanish legal sector, which grew by 8.3% during the same period. In Spain, Ecija’s revenue reached €60.3 million (+22.5%), allowing it to climb two positions in the national ranking.
The most significant figure for the year comes from international business. Ecija generated €61.9 million outside of Spain, representing 50.7% of its total revenue, thus consolidating its position as one of the Spanish firms with the greatest international reach. According to data published by Expansión, Ecija is now “closer than ever to the three largest national law firms” in terms of international business volume, with figures approaching those of Uría Menéndez.
This growth is a result of the strategic plan implemented after the Alia Capital Partners fund invested in the firm in 2024, with the goal of exceeding €150 million in revenue by 2028.
With a presence in 18 jurisdictions and 36 offices, Ecija maintains its position as the Spanish firm with the largest presence in Latin America and reinforces its leadership in the digital economy, an area in which it was recognized as European Firm of the Year by The Lawyer in 2025.
