Abdón Pedrajas Littler, a leading firm in Labor and Social Security Law, has launched Kinema People, a strategic Human Resources consultancy established as the firm’s exclusive partner. This move consolidates the firm’s comprehensive service model, combining high-level legal and labor law advice, strategic Human Resources consulting from Kinema People, and people management services provided through Eqippo HR Solutions, launched by the firm in 2018.
Kinema People was founded with the aim of bringing a strategic dimension to the Human Resources function, encompassing everything from organizational architecture design to talent attraction, development, and retention during business transformation processes. The initiative responds to the increasing complexity of the corporate environment, where operational decisions require simultaneously combining legal, organizational, and team management requirements. Challenges such as the European Pay Transparency Directive, the implementation of equality plans, internal investigations stemming from whistleblowing channels, and the management of absenteeism and employee turnover demand a multidisciplinary and proactive approach.
At the helm of Kinema People is Diego Navarro, an executive with over 20 years of experience leading human resources functions internationally in major multinationals such as Novartis, Adidas, and Airbus, as well as other Fortune 500 companies, across diverse sectors including pharmaceuticals, aerospace, chemicals, and consulting. His expertise lies in organizational development, talent, transformation, and labor relations. Throughout his career, he has also held senior management positions in various regions and countries across Europe, Latin America, the United States, and Asia. Antonio Pedrajas Quiles, managing partner of Abdón Pedrajas Littler, assumes the presidency of the new company, which will operate from its offices in Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia.
The new consultancy’s services include organizational development (organizational and organizational health audits, structural design, and strategic workforce planning), talent attraction and management (recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning), leadership and team development through coaching programs, performance and compensation management, including pay audits, culture, inclusion, and diversity programs, and human resources training. The consultancy will also offer fractional HR support, a model that allows companies to flexibly bring in expert profiles to meet specific needs or projects, and strategic advice on labor relations, in coordination with Abdón Pedrajas Littler’s legal team, in restructuring processes, collective bargaining, international mobility and expatriation, executive transitions, and internal investigations.
According to Antonio Pedrajas, “companies don’t separate legal issues from people issues, and our advice shouldn’t either. With Kinema People, we can support our clients throughout the entire process, from strategic and comprehensive human resources consulting to people management and labor law advice, with a common approach and a level of integration unique in the market.”
For his part, Diego Navarro pointed out that “organizational health has become a business variable. Issues such as absenteeism, turnover, and the ability to retain talent depend as much on leadership and culture as on the labor framework in which they are managed. Being able to address them together with Abdón Pedrajas Littler’s legal expertise allows us to offer companies comprehensive, rigorous, and applicable solutions.”
